A Montgomery County woman filed a lawsuit against her stepson alleging public defamation negligence in 2014 and thereafter. Theresa Roemer filed a petition against Maximillian Roemer of Galveston in Galveston County District Court June 29, seeking injunctive action to prevent him from engaging in public defamation, and claiming he is in violation of a previous settlement agreement between them made in August 2014. The suit states that the defendant is 32, single, unemployed and troubled.

A resident filed a lawsuit against the chief deputy of a municipality alleging harassment and defamation in an undated complaint. Chet Driver filed suit against Stephen Godfrey of Nacogdoches in Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas June 24, claiming liability during an unspecified time period.
