BEAUMONT – The Provost Umphrey Law Firm is seeking to investigate the merits of a potential asbestos lawsuit against Chevron USA and Texaco. Through PU attorney Keith Hyde, Diana Wyble filed a petition to perpetuate the testimony of Harry Doyle on May 20 in Jefferson County District Court.
Edinburg attorney R. Kent Livesay wants a lawsuit brought by Allstate Texas Lloyds, which accuses him of fraudulently representing several storm victims and demanding payment on their behalf, moved to Hidalgo County.
GALVESTON — A Galveston County man is suing five companies, alleging breach of contract and negligence over construction of power poles and lines in front of his property.
Allstate Texas Lloyds recently filed suit against R. Kent Livesay, accusing the Edinburg attorney of fraudulently representing several storm victims and demanding payment on their behalf.
The lawsuit, filed Dec. 29 in Tarrant County, comes seven months after an El Paso couple sued Livesay for barratry, alleging he used a case runner to drum up business following an automobile accident.
