A grieving widow is suing a cluster of food service companies alleging the wrongful death of her husband pursuant to the Jones Act, the Survivor Act and other Texas regulations in a fatal 2013 head injury. Shopper slips on cleaning solution, sues H-E-B

While shopping at a Beaumont H-E-B two years ago, Carmelita Bluiett stepped in a puddle of cleaning solution and slipped. On Aug. 4 she filed suit against HEB Grocery in Jefferson County District Court, alleging the company failed to warn her of the danger. According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 21, 2013, Bluiett was shopping at the H-E-B on 11th Street when “she slipped and fell due to a puddle of cleaning solution which had been left on the floor by and employee of the defendant.” Bluiett argue
