ORANGE - A Nacogdoches family has recovered $8.5 million in settlement funds for a February 2020 crash that claimed a man’s life. The family, represented by Ferguson Law Firm managing partner Paul ‘Chip’ Ferguson, secured the settlement four days before trial in the case was to begin in district court, a press release states.
BEAUMONT – A $27 million judgment against UPS was wiped by the Ninth Court of Appeals today, as justices have ordered the case be transferred out of Jefferson County.

Area resident Linda Odom has filed suit against Beaumont local Linda Fontenot, alleging the woman failed to obey traffic control devices and caused an automobile collision.
The father of a minor boy has filed suit against the driver who he claims rear-ended the vehicle in which his son was riding, causing his son to sustain injuries and the man to incur medical costs.
